Headline according to O Globo in Rio "Dibu Martínez brilha no Mundial que será para sempre a Copa de Messi".

"Emi stars in (World Cup) Final that will forever be Messi's (World) Cup."

A good tournament for him and Argentina but his actions at the end let himself, his country and his club down. You should not be acting like a 12 year old on the world stage. Show some respect.

I expect now he's won it we'll be losing him in the summer now the elite will be after him.

We REALLY need a better back up anyway as Olsen is terrible

Did they? Really?

Nope. We are the elite.

Agreed.

Plus he's signed a five year contract extension. Hope you are aware of that.

Just ignore it. Everytime anyone responds to it's trolling it just feeds it.

Any thoughts on the Brighton win, bab? You posted after Brighton took the lead but then, I assume, must have had internet issues. You also forgot to comment on the Man U win.
Must have been the excitement. I've been on tenterhooks for weeks waiting for your return.

This might be amongst the most important (non penalty) saves he will ever make in his career

Has to be up there as save of the tournament.
Brilliant save

Save of the season for me, given the context of the match.

I really don't think it got the praise it deserved on TV. It wasn't just a keeper making himself big (Kenneth Williams meme), he waited for the attacker to commit himself, then chose the leg because he knew the range was such that he probably wouldn't get his hands to it and because it would be less likely to lead to a rebound opportunity.

Superb save.

Wonderful; I'm in tears again! In 1966 - Antonio Rattin and all that!! - I never thought that 56 years later I'd be so positively emotional about Argentina winning the World Cup.

Made a great save in the last minute against Australia as well, though I think the one tonight was better.

Are you for real? His attitude on the pitch is exactly what Villa has been short of for years and years; for too long we've been the team with a soft underbelly, wailting to roll over and be tickled. Find another ten Emiliano Martinez's I say.....and as for you, please go back to the stone-age.
