Martinez left Arsenal because he wasn't made first-choice.  I don't think it would be any surprise to say his relationship was less than perfect with one of the managers who chose not to make him first-choice.  But to suggest their disagreements were anything other than professional is grasping at straws.  Like every other squad in the league, there are a dozen players who don't get to play on any given match day. None of them are likely to be happy about it (well, 95% of them aren't), but it's part of the game.

The fact is, Emi was probably third-choice during Unai's early stint at Arsenal (think it was Cech and Leno 1st and 2nd?), so he will have been pissed off - but he's the undisputed number one here, which I suspect it what he cares about most of all.

If they'd GENUINELY had a proper falling out, I have no doubt Emery would have ditched his third-choice goalkeeper in a heartbeat.

They're bad but they haven't tried to pin the deaths of innocent supporters onto other innocent supporters as far as I'm aware

Paul Robinson

"He’s not a top-class goalkeeper. He’s not top level. There’s a reason he was at Arsenal for so long, without playing. Arsenal have had some poor goalkeepers over the years. Martinez spent so much time as a no.2,”.

BBC gossip this morning says there is friction between Emi and Unai. Hope it's nothing but gossip. Last thing we need now is this.

It's football insider. Not the BBC. It's bullshit.
I had a bit of a barney with Hackett on that site. I read & commented on there for a bit, before I realised it was absolute clickbait garbage & their HP sauces are wrong pretty much 100% of the time.

Always thought he was a smug fecker, especially when he took over Lassiter's.

CDBF clearly didn't go to university back then or he'd have instantly recognised the 'Neighbours' reference like we did.

I worked with a bloke who insisted he finished work in time for him to get home to watch it.

Well done to Emi on reaching the quarters. Cracking last minute save! Needs to add a touch of claret to those hair stripes!
