What did he actually get booked for? I presumed it was for his usual shit housery but someone told me it was for roughing up the penalty spot.

I saw him do that to the spot, I assumed that was what it was for.
To be fair he should have waited for the ref to turn round but it was funny as fuck!!

Do you not think though it’s about time we had someone like Martinez acting up the way he does.  We’ve been way too accommodating and nice for years.
We obviously aren't nice to Referees because they seem to hate us.

We could also swap for Buendia for the second verse.

The moment he decided not to come off his line before the penalty made the outcome inevitable.  A poor decision from an otherwise excellent keeper.

Still have a nagging suspicion he’ll be gone in the summer.

You wouldn't be a Villa fan if you didn't. These things haunt us all.

Slightly Emi related, but watched this (the fozcast with Ben foster, his mate, neil cutler and boaz myhill) last night and found it fascinating. We are so lucky to have Cutler as our head of goalkeeping. He just seems to understand it.

And as an ex goalkeeper myself I was starting to get slightly aroused with some of the chat!!

Thanks for posting this it was a really good watch/listen.

I have never been that interested in goalkeeping but after just watching that I have a real appreciation and a little more understanding of goalkeepers.

Neil Cutler was great and gives an insight into the way he sets up keepers and how Villa do their business. It was interesting that this recording was just before the infamous Southampton game be great to hear his opinion of whats happened since.

Ben Foster is pretty good as well and you can see he loves it and has an infectious enthusiasm.
