He was just so assured on the ball. You instinctively winced when the ball went back to him, but nope, just calm. Cannot help but feel that must be hugely reassuring to Konsa and Mings and their concentration levels.

Fantastic stop, excellent coming for the ball, good communicator, good passer- ok he had little to do, but what he did, was excellent.

Really really impressed. Itís worked out brilliantly for us, but fuck knows how he didnít break into the Arsenal team over the years. I know Leno is good, but heís relatively recent.

There was absolutely no way that penalty was going to get past him.

And the post match interview showed his class - really professional, smart, and calm. He could possibly be our GK for the next 8-9 years - letís hope

Why would you want to go and say something like that on matchday?! For his second game.....

Simple: Mings got in his way! Sometimes, defenders need to get the fuck out of the way and let the keeper do his work (I'm talking about shots from outside the box, mainly).

He had Mings missing a header and Konsa being wrestled to the ground within a few yards of him and a split second to react.  It looked bad but I think he's proven already its the exception rather than the rule.

Just read that Monday was out first away clean sheet in the Premier League since 2016.

Mark Bunn at WBA if anybodies interested.
