He sounds like Kermit the frog, which for me is a massive positive.

That's actually a lovely video. I think he's going to be a bit of a hero.

At a time when Chelsea have got a keeper who cost three times the price, letting in every shot on target, he's an absolute steal.

Happy it's finally over the line. Reading the comments on the BBC article and Arsenal fans are very sorry to see him go. seems most on there would have preferred to see Leno go instead.

I was quite impressed with his English, which can be difficult for South American players who are expected to come right in and make an impact. He's been settled in London for 10+ years.. I think this is going to work out well for us.

I just asked my Arsenal mate "Any good, is he better than Heaton?".  He said "Yep, he's better than Leno"

Im gutted for him, that he can’t get that Holte End welcome for his first home game, as he approaches the goal. Because that must be something special, especially for a keeper.

But everything I’ve read makes me think this is a fantastic signing.

Is he any good? I'd never heard of him until Villa were after him.

Steady on. The consensus among neutrals seems to be that we've made an over-generous offer that Arsenal have accepted as they need money for transfers. Time will tell I guess.

Bienvenido Emmi Martinez!

Was it the most excellent South American Football expert that is Tim Vickery? Or do Sky have one of own that's escaped me. Vickery is independent and brodcasts across all the platforms sky BBC Talksport always knowing on all things South American have had the pleasure of speaking to him on the excellent 5 live world football phone in!
I quite enjoy to hear his thoughts and knowledge.

Has to be him !

I was a regular listener to Dotun and Tim for years pre-lockdown, when were you on the show? I like the way Vickery often mixes cultural or historical events with football.

Not 100% sure but I think I played football against him in Rio about 20 years ago.

Anyone else thinking "£17m for a 28 year old reserve with 15 appearances over six years, WTF?" or is it just me? This is more a comment on the madness of the market than the player who seems extremely solid in terms of ability and personality.

Loved his response to the question of which game is he most looking forward to - all of them! Went on to say how important it was to start fast against SU and Fulham. Seems very grounded to me and thats a great sign
