Second best, Ederson is top (although he rarely has much to do).

Martinez is the best goalkeeper that looks like a goalkeeper.

In fairness, that's a skill in itself, playing in a team that dominates and keeping switched on for when you are needed.

Such a key position - just imagine if we’d gone for Aaron Ramsdale from Bournemouth for instance.

We’d be several places lower in the table, that’s for sure.

Have we had a keeper get POTY before?

Was discussing last night whether he's our best keeper in my era (late 80s onwards). Decided he's got a good case. Combines shot stopping of Bosnich with command of Friedel. If he keeps this up for a few more seasons he'll be undisputed best I think.

I am pretty sure Guzan won it, maybe in Lambert's first season?

Martinez is brilliant, he has no weaknesses and the attitude of the entire back five is fantastic. You can sense the pride in keeping a clean sheet. They take offence to conceding goals. Emi has made the four in front of him better, that is the truest sign of a brilliant signing.

One of the best in the world yet still isn't No.1 for Argentina. If I was Gareth Southgate I'd at least attempt to get him to switch allegiance

best all round keeper we've had since Spink was in his prime?

Bozzie was good at shot stopping - couldn't kick a ball though. :D

Better than Spink in my view. Rimmer just shades it so far given what we won with him. Emi just exudes confidence which spreads to the rest. Fab signing and what a bargain

I don't really remember a great deal of Spink as I only started going to VP when I was 10 in 1994. But, I think Martinez has more than Bosnich.

Spinksy was brilliant, mate, I guess he learned a lot from Rimmer, too. Imo both were head and shoulders above Bosnich
