He’s magnificent. Mad as a box of frogs and he loves the club. We need to continue to prove to him as a supporter base and most importantly as a club that we should be his future. In the next 2-3 years get ourselves into the CL. He’s only 30 so lots of years ahead him in his prime.

Anyone know if 21/22 video of his "saves" includes him sweet talking Fernandez into missing the Pen?

We know how good he is but how many points did he save us last season

Never ever sell him - ever
He's utterly superb.  Also, this doesn't include all the one on one saves he made where there was a late offside flag nor his clearances where he came out his box to beat a player through on goal to the ball.

It's got to the stage now when I'm beginning to expect him to save one on ones, which is very reassuring with our high line.

I've said many times a great team needs a great keeper.  We have ours, it would be madness to let him go.

He is probably the only truly world-class player we have in the squad at the moment
Let’s hope others can attain that level in the coming seasons,  He is definitely already there

When’s the last time you really worried about an opposition corner, im really worried. He’s the best keeper we’ve ever had and a great character to boot.

Even India loves Emi Martinez

I've been following the reports of his tour. What a man! What a mad man! I think we may have a few new fans come the beginning of the season. It will be interesting to observe as for me, we've been the last (along with Newcastle) of the 'big clubs' that have a traditional support. Something I've loved and something that has kept my Villa roots pure. I've always said, the best thing of any Villa goal is watching the fans celebrate. Interesting times..

He is fast becoming one of my all time favourite Villa players and Villa people. In the current set up he’s right up there with Mings and McGinn. We genuinely have a good bunch at the club right now.

I'm not sure if it is relevant to this but apparently Argentina wanted to play India last month in Friendlies but India couldn't afford appearance fees for the "Friendly". They might have since arranged for players to go there without playing.

The fans in Philly serenading him with "He's got the World Cup in his hands" is quite amusing. Emi seemed to like it.

I hope we're looking at a backup shot stopper as we haven't been linked to any and we really can't be going into a season and fighting for all competitions with Olsen as our understudy. It's too risky and as I said last summer a no.2 is an absolute priority..hope they listen this time

The more ‘statement’ the signing, the more confident I am Emi will stay/loyal.
