The team's going to get a lot of confidence from having him in goal. Real quality keeper we've got there. Someone who can save penalties too.

Loved how he celebrated the win at the end too.

Who was the last keeper to save a penalty, Steer in the play off shoot out?

He's an absolute baller. Signing of the season.

Not sure what he's got to do with Clare Balding though.
he's as assured on the ball as Balding is in that pic.

What an assured debut, great feet, very confident and to top it all off, brilliantly saves a pen and starts with a clean sheet!

I'm fairly certain Clare Balding doesn't cradle too many balls.

He looked tremendously assured and calm. Those are great compliments for a keeper. It was almost secondary to his penalty save which was excellent.

A really composed debut topped off by that penalty save.

One note of annoyance was the commentator and Alan Smith mispronouncing his name. It's pronounced Mar-teen-ez not Martin-ez. It's not difficult!

Excellent debut. We really do have strength in depth now in the keeper department.

Spot on. Just gave off that feeling/aura of a safe 'keeper that I didn't realise was missing till tonight.
