Reports stating matty cash spotted outside polish embassy so he can play for polish national team. So another potential international for us. Good for him

I think the photos of him inside with the polish ambassador probably matter a bit more. I think it's pretty clear that he'll be a Polish international pretty soon

Matty Cash, the Polish Cafu.

Bloody English going over to Poland and taking their full back slots.

He's thanked the Polish Football Association on Twitter this afternoon and quote tweeted them about him being granted citizenship so it looks as though he is all set to play for them.

Nice one Mateusz. That'll make my job to convert all my students to Villa fandom even easier.

I reckon he'll be very popular over here - he's the type of player the Poles tend to like.

Looking on Google he was being linked with Poland before we signed him so I'd guess he has picked up a bit over the last 18 months.

Someone on Twitter says we can no longer claim to have an English back four now he plays for Poland. I did point out that he wasn't actually Polish.

Well, he's just been given Polish citizenship, so technically he sort of is, at least partly.

He's both, so we can say all-English back four. Just as much as Man City could say 'all English front three' if they played Foden, Sterling and that other guy even though Sterling is also Jamaican and that other guy is sort of Irish.

If you were describing him in international terms, he's the Polish right back. Or will be.
