Yeah I like him too. BTW, I was reading on the Polish Villa Twitter that he wont be picked for Poland despite having a Polish Grandmother. He doesn't speak Polish which he would need to get citizenship and the Polish FA do not repatriate players nowadays apparently.

Which reminds me of Ivor Linton, who played in Finland for so long he was eligible for their national side, but to do that he'd also be eligible for national service.

What a career trajectory-  playing in the European Cup in 1982 and then leaving that year for 4th Division Peterborough. Released by them, then joins Blues in the First Division, then goes from them to Bilston Town (the actual one, not Wolves) and then 15 years in Finland.

Looks a good 'un.

Interesting to see how he gets on against sides with better attacking quality than Sheff U and Fulham.

But promising so far.

Hopefully we'll be thinking the same thing after the Liverpool game

Reminds me a bit of Luke young. Just one of those no fuss good at all his jobs fullbacks.

Yep. I like him a lot. Hopefully can find an equivalent for the other side.

Another vote. I like Guilbert, but Cash seems to have an all round game that's better.

Looks a cracking player. Another one who can run all night and is really quick. He's also got a really good cross on him.

I like Guilbert, but he's not at Cash's level.

I really like the look of Cash but lets not get carried away - he's played a 10 man Sheffield and a self imploding Fulham.

He looked really good last night and long may it continue, but we'll know if he's a different level to Guilbert once we've seen him play some decent PL teams.

Vs Fulham
Cash made 7 tackles against Fulham - no player has made more in a Premier League match this term - while an additional three interceptions contributed to a WhoScored rating of 8.40.

Cash showing the quality of player that can be plucked from the Championship. Henry would be an upgrade on Targett.

I have to admit I was puzzled why we signed a right back, as I rate both Guilbert and Elmo. However Cash does look to have all the makings of a very good right back even if does look like an extra from Pirates of the Caribbean. Very impressive performances thus far.

This is a Matty Cash thread no need to talk of gullible guilbert.  Hes not welcomed was part of old regime qnd clearly out of favor ,we dont need him at Villa . Cash in on him and Cash in the team
And shows just how much Cash was needed
Dean knows identifies upgrades and he did just that.

Now we can all enjoy Cash! Good to see everyone getting it now and noticing the difference.

I didn't realise we could only talk about what you think we should.

If Guilbert is being mentioned, it's because he plays in the same position as Cash. Just because you didn't think he was good enough shouldn't mean the conversation about him should end.  Threads to tend to swerve from their original subject title anyway. There's a very good chance there may be posts about homeless cats at some point.

Stop bringing homeless cats into it!  Come on now!  Concentrate on Cash not Cats!
