I think I saw him play only a couple of times but for those with better memories wasn’t Mike Tindall known for giving evangelical speeches around St Martins church after he retired from football of am I getting confused with another player from that era?

RIP

He was. He became a born-again Christian and spent time as a missionary.

Was sad to hear the death of Mike Tindall He was part of the team when i first started watching the villa in the mid 60s .He was a decent player and looked set to go on to play for England until he broke his leg at Tottenham .Came back and i remember him scoring a brilliant goal at Burnden Park Bolton but sadly he was never as good as he was R I P Mike
