Swing-O-Meter 2020/21 Season... now only 5.3% Fulham
« on: August 05, 2020, 09:19:47 AM »
You know how this works by now.

Where we can compare results with last season to try to estimate where we are likely to finish.

This is now just based on Villa's results, so we can see if we are on course to equal or better last season's seventeenth-placed finish on 35 points.

Results listed as home result, away result, points. So if we won at home and drew away, it would say WD4. "-" means we have yet to play match(es).

Last season's results listed to the left of the opponents' names, this season's scores listed to the right.

I'll try to update this after each game.

A bit early this year, apologies. Wanted to do it while still "working from home" so as I wouldn't be pestered by people actually expecting work. I have added some player stats, you lucky people. Will be back once fixtures are announced.

Good work.

That old bad-code symbol of the number eight followed by a bracket symbol producing a sunglassed emoji never fails to make me smile. Unless you were of course saying that Jack is as cool as fook.

A much better record against teams lower down in the alphabet than those higher up. Could do with Wolves going down this year for that reason alone.

I was thinking that, Champions League form until you get to Chelsea who, not for the first time, spoil everything. Although that is partly because Bournemouth have been replaced by a team starting with "L".

Our record against L and M teams is now particularly appalling. There are no teams starting with either letter in the Belgian Pro League, so our transfer policy is probably to blame. Need to sign players with big match "scoring against teams starting with L and M" experience.

Morning all, a win to start the season.

Just look at the estimated points total using The Drummond Method, what a season this could be!

What is it that Drummond is drawing-up? Can't wait to see it.

Great work cdbw!

As well as Drummond's promise of a record breaking points total I'm delighted that we've finally found that 38 goal a season man we've been looking for in Ezri Konsa!!!

Thanks both. 🙂

BONUS EXTRA! Final points total, Drummond Method:* - 111

*this is (estimated 2020/21 final points total minus 2019/20 final points total) divided by number of games played so far, then multiplied by 38. Then, finally, added to 2019/20 points total and rounded up/down.
Just want to keep this version for posterity. In years to come people will scoff at the thought that Ezra Konsa would *only* manage 38 goals this season.
