The only thing I knew about Brentford when I was growing up was that Harvey Moon used to talk about them in 'Shine On Harvey Moon'.

Well that's a few million off Brentford's squad value. Not sure if I'd be too keen on signing any of them - certainly not for for sums previously quoted.

Top players perform when it matters.

Little bit harsh on Brentford.

8 on the spin not far off our run, play great football and Dean was a factor in this ethos - not bottlers - maybe not right winning mentality in the “big” games ultimately.

Can see them pissing the league next season if they keep main players.

I’d swap Taylor for Henry.

I sure every Villa fan would and every Brentford fan wouldn't.

I like this game though.  I'd also swap Jota for Benrahma and Hogan for Watkins.  Maybe Henri Lansbury Mbeumo.  There, sorted.

I didn’t mean swap directly so much as replace Taylor with him.

I know, I was just mucking about.  Like last season there will be a few of their players in demand and it will be interesting to see how many they let go and if we get any.  There's certainly a few who seem like they would improve our squad.  I'm still pretty convinced Benrahma and Watkins will do ok in the PL, whether the pair are worth c£50m is another matter.

It could be a case of playing with better players, a bigger club inspiring them etc would bring a better standard from both players. My concern would be that they had two big games to take advantage of Albion slipping up, along with a play off final and all three games neither player stepped up.

Yes they seemed to freeze.  But all great players have had poor games and there's plenty of people who have written Jack off in the past, some fans of other clubs still do.  I imagine if we'd watched them week in week out we'd be more confident.

They did bottle the run in and should have pipped Albion. The goals dried up.

I’ve only been to see them once. My QPR supporting mate’s dad supports them. It was v Tranmere at Griffin Park early 90’s. Most one-sided 0-0 I’ve ever seen I think. Tranmere battered them but just couldn’t score.

As a Fulham fan I probably know more brentford than you boys, about 30 years ago our local derbies were brentford, Barnet and Leyton orient, before al fayed came into rescue us, I thing if brentford had won last night they would have probably been the new Bournemouth, they probably do now what they do best, sell one or two of there big guns recruit again from lower leagues and unknown foreign players that are probably the next season’s Watkins and Benrahma, I do think think that they probably they’ve blown there best chance ever,

Rod Stewart had a trial with them in 1960 but was not taken on and Bradley Walsh was a professional with them, but never made the first team.

It'll be easier to get tickets when we play them in the cup at some point than it would have been in the Premier League.
