Albion have a goal difference of minus 33. The next worst is Sheffield United with minus 22.

Our goal difference to Albion?

According to the commentary Southampton were missing both first team fullbacks which had an effect on their play. Hopefully they’ll both be out at the weekend as well.

He might have a way out if they don't bring  anyone else in during the transfer window.

Silly from the ref in the arsenal game, Pepe was being subbed but took his time because Smith-Rowe was down injured, got booked for time wasting before the ref let the physio on and then they changed the sub to leave Pepe on. Not sure how the ref can let that booking stand.

That would be our old friend Kevin.  Not like him to get something wrong. The twat.

Allerdyce referring to Man City’s ground as “Main Rd”,  how long have they been gone from there?

I did that yesterday.

Oh I remember that and the expensive recruits of our squad in championship failing inexplicably at times.

I think Bruce loses this and loses away at Everton
Eddie Howe or Frank Lampard should be brought in. I have 2 dear Newcastle friends and they just want him out. And new owner. Casts envious eyes at the Villa and what I are all enjoying!
100% losing to Everton, but Bruce won't be sacked unless we're in the bottom 3 for a couple of weeks. I'd be happy with Howe, he might not be able to set up a defence very well, but the new manager bounce + his ability to get attackers playing should mean our survival. Trouble is the owner and the persisting rumours of a takeover.

Any competent owner would bring in a survival specialist on a short term deal. Then, if the deal goes through the new owners can bring in any progressive manager they want, while the man who kept us up walks off with a completion bonus and a bump in his reputation. If the deal doesn't go through, the interim manager can be offered the job full time.

These players are mid-to-bottom half standard on the whole, the fans in the stands can see how they could be setup to get more out of the group than we're seeing; 4-2-3-1, get shot of Shelvey and Hendrick, let ASM and his mates have fun up front, leave the defending to the other 6 players + the decent 'keepers. We'd get beat by the good sides, do ok against midtable and beat the relegation lot.

Guess the problem with that is that the typical survival specialists (Allardyce, Pulis etc) aren't really looking like specialists anymore.

I can't see you guys being in any real danger of relegation, but Bruce is certainly on one of those runs of his (that we all remember) which make a fan question whether anybody could do any worse.

Could have done with Southampton winning tonight.  Anyway if we win tomorrow all will be well

Nah, went want draws all over the place, the league is so tight around us that the more points 'lost' to draws the better.

Absolutely this. I have been cheering on plenty of draws for those around us in recent weeks.
