It's a Scottish postie singing a New Zealand sea shanty.

The one of the 4 Brummie lads meme doing it is actually very good IT wise, it looks pretty believable.

All of which is far more interesting that absolute shower we just watched.

But the fucking trousers though. The trousers. Fucking hell. The trousers.

Its a case of all teams catching up with tactics and fitness so much faster than in the past. Coaches can study every new system due to so much footy being aired and can be sussed within a few games.

Im not a American football fan.  But that sport constantly changes who the victors are due to micro studying tactics.
Coaches have had access to recordings of all the games for years.

I'm no expert, but isn't the draft system specifically designed to help ensure that there are no extended periods of dominance?

I'd imagine if the Premier League capped transfer budgets and allocated the amount that could be spent on a steeply sliding scale so that the newly promoted clubs got the most and the reigning champions the least, there would almost immediately be some shaking up of the perceived natural order.

Always thought that rewards failure a bit. If you're not going to qualify, wouldn't you make sure you lose all your remaining matches to finish bottom & get the best players next year? Maybe professional pride wouldn't allow it...

Bilbao beat Barcelona to win the "Spanish" Super Cup. Messi sent off in the last minute of extra time.
Why the quotes on Spanish ? Are Bilbao and/or Barcelona not in Spain ?

In America without the relegations prospects, that could be more of an issue, however Browns went on a run of 3 wins in 40 matches over three seasons so sometimes being bottom for a while doesn't help. Even having the choice of best players does not guarantee success as you have to gamble that a 21 YO will be able to raise his game and cope with the pressure or trade the picks for established players and hope. Lots of promising rookies disappear.

Presumably because the clubs themselves would describe it as a Basque / Catalan rivalry and neither would see it as a Spanish fixture at all.

I'd be all for that now. It sounds like a great idea. Unless we win the league then I'd have to say "fuck that it's a stupid idea"

If Swansea beat Cardiff in the FA Cup, it wouldn't be anything other than the English FA Cup though.

There is no such competition as the English FA Cup.

OK, the Football Association Challenge Cup, this season known as the Emirates FA Cup that is run by the Football Association. In England.

And I'm sure if that were to happen, some wag on the "otros juegos" thread of a Real Sociedad forum may well describe such an event as happening in the Copa FA "ingls" for the same reason.

This seems good news. It would make the system a farce if you can't ban players for this sort of thing unless they happen to be playing in their own country. Would set a very bad precedent.

This leads to 2 questions for me:
1 - the 4 Brummies singing video is faked/Edited? (very well done indeed if so)
2 - What is the story of the picture of them 4? who are they, why did it become wide spread?
