Why is Redknapp defending Digne? Saying the red card should be rescinded.

Marco Van Basten had to retire early because of fouls aimed at his achilles.

Digne knew exactly what he was doing. Born out of frustration, maybe, but no excuses.

If someone fouled Jack like that I would be screaming at the ref to get out the red card.

Absolutely. Every time Jack plays I hold my breath a little. He gets fouled so often it just takes one to put him out for a while.

The build up to Wolves v Newcastle on SKY. I think it is fair to say that former Newcastle player Kieron Dyer is not a big fan of Steve Bruce's style of football.

Newcastle have been dull though haven't they? Not just Bruce either. They were deadly dull under Benitez.

It's fine to want to stay in the league but if it's just a grind every week then what's the point.

I still shudder at the memory of us under Paul Lambert...

I donít think that was a red card at all. Iíd be furious if it happened to us. The players trailing football was already a long way behind in his stride when he got caught. And the way he got caught made it look significantly worse than it was. I donít think he caught up and ran his studs down his Achilles. A yellow? Absolutely. Never a red for me.
If he hadnt already tried to chop him down at the start of the run I'd possibly agree but end result was deliberate from what I seen .

Southampton played well
Their Midfield and forwards clicked and had a good unberstanding of where each other were.
No easy contest ahead.

That was a struggle to keep awake, surely 2nd half can't be any worse.

tbf though, I don't think many people were fans of Dyer's football - hardly played.

Actually, if they could change the shirts in the Wolves match to the ones Manure and Chelski played in yesterday, you could just have a re-run of that match. This weekends matches have been by far the worst of the season. Too much sideways and backward passes in the midfield area.

Goals are down in the PL significantly from a couple of weeks ago. Either itís just an inevitable correction or players are tired with compressed schedules, internationals and Europe. Itís also going to balance things out more in the PL. More dull games are coming after all the fireworks. Being out of the LC may not be such a bad thing given we looked so flat last time out.
