Playing to your strengths in sport, business and life will not guide you too far wrong - Leicester do this brilliantly.

I must say, I'm impressed by how Leicester have established themselves as a top club. Perhaps not in terms of profile, but I fully expected them to slowly sink back to the bottom half PL / top half Championship after their title win, but they have kept themselves top half PL through great recruitment.

Their recruitment and even their sales of players have been very successful. Claude Puel was their one mistake but they soon replaced him and even under him they were still half decent/mid table.

Penalties given year by year.

92 in 380 games last season.
103 in 2018/19.
80 in 2017/18
106 in 2016/17
91 in 2015/16
19 in 25 games this season.

If this carries on we'll end up with 250+ penalties this season, which would be plain ridiculous.

I see Bayern were also hammered 4-1 today, must have been playing a British team.

Apparently there was one occasion they did beat an English team in the final.

They beat them 3-1 away the year they won the title to be fair.

How did Spurs not win? I left the house near the end of the game and it was 1-0 looking like it would finish that way.

Why not? It's another set of matchday supporters that's become more of an audience rather than a crowd in recent years.

https://www.thefa.com/football-rules-governance/lawsandrules/laws/football-11-11/law-12---fouls-and-misconduct
Handball rule....

It is an offence if a player:

deliberately touches the ball with their hand/arm, including moving the hand/arm towards the ball
scores in the opponents’ goal directly from their hand/arm, even if accidental, including by the goalkeeper
after the ball has touched their or a team-mate’s hand/arm, even if accidental, immediately:
scores in the opponents’ goal
creates a goal-scoring opportunity
touches the ball with their hand/arm when:
the hand/arm has made their body unnaturally bigger
the hand/arm is above/beyond their shoulder level (unless the player deliberately plays the ball which then touches their hand/arm
The above offences apply even if the ball touches a player’s hand/arm directly from the head or body (including the foot) of another player who is close.

Except for the above offences, it is not an offence if the ball touches a player’s hand/arm:

directly from the player’s own head or body (including the foot)
directly from the head or body (including the foot) of another player who is close
if the hand/arm is close to the body and does not make the body unnaturally bigger
when a player falls and the hand/arm is between the body and the ground to support the body, but not extended laterally or vertically away from the body
How about replacing all this shit with "A direct free kick will be awarded if it's a deliberate handball in the opinion of on field officials"?
