Before we get too smug, what if the extra week of competitive football that Palace have had is mainly responsible for this result? We are also playing our first proper competitive game of the season on Monday.

And while I hate ManU with a passion, whenever no-mark teams get these kinds of results against them it makes me the more upset that we never seem to be able to.

Just need to see Solskjaer moaning and whinging in his post match whilst trying to act the big time manager.

Palace will always do reasonably well against the teams regularly featuring at the top. Those teams play a high line as they expect to keep possession. It's against the teams that sit back they fail, there is little guile or killer pass in the team. Now if you had a team with a grealish and some pace, well that's a different scenario.

However with those six points Palace are safe for another season.

Good grief. You must clean up at the bookies with that foresight.
