My best mate from my days at Uni is a committed Blade, and I hope they can get themselves in gear.  If they lose tonight though, which they look like they will (and especially now I've just seen Baldock's miss), I fear for them.

More generally, it strikes me that Crystal Palace without Zaha would quite possibly be the worst team in the division, and I'm not sure how long he can continue to drag them up on his own.

They don't seem to have learned from watching Scotland matches... if you pick McBurnie to play centre-forward, you won't score.

He does indeed look pretty hopeless.

Sheffield Unitedís finishing tonight is possibly the worst I have ever seen at this level. They are absolutely useless up top.

Looks like the Blades recently graduated from a week at the Trez Finishing School.

I do like the look of Gallagher, thought he'd come through their academy for some reason. Imagine my shock to find out that he's a Chelsea loanee 🙄

Savage & Sutton on 5Live slaughtering Jurgen Klopp. Klopp has been banging on about more substitutions being allowed to save muscle tiredness injuries. But the statistics show the vast majority of Klopp's substitutions aren't made until the period from eighty minutes onwards which is an exercise in running down the clock rather than protecting players from injury. Klopp makes a large number of substitutions in injury time at which point it makes next to no difference when a player has already played as near as dammit the whole game.

He says he only does that because he wants to keep subs spare in case one of his players gets injured which he says is more likely this season with no pre-season and less recovery time between games.

They lashed out £40m+ on that keeper and Brewster, a young forward that canít even get a game. It is lazy player acquisition that will get them relegated. That and being completely found out and a manager who has been brilliant who cannot squeeze any more juice out of what has been a very juicy lemon for a number of seasons. Average players that play as a great unit can only play well at this level for so long. The scouting/science employed by teams is too good. Eventually it comes down to quality. And they donít have much of it.

Chelsea charging returning supporters £75 in one part of the ground for the game against Leeds next weekend.

Two areas are being used. £75 in one stand and £40 in the other. All tickets subject of a ballot.

£75!

Also suffer from  not being a popular place to go for quality players
itís difficult for SU to attract good players so they have to pay over the odds etc

I know Brentford find gems regularly but thatís in the championship

they are a bigger club than say they likes of Bournemouth Brighton Burnley but have the problem where players see the club as always being in the relegation area

I have a lot of time for Sheff Utd as a club, last season was incredible and proved Wilder was a very good manager
but itís only a matter of time before they drop again
they will have a great chance of first time promotion as the dropsters  from last season are proving but it will always be a perennial struggle
