Players canít be tired. They did practically nothing from March till last season started up again.

Itís more about correct conditioning and having the appropriate recovery time to play at the top level. I also thinks itís why you are now seeing the likes of OGS and now Pep calling for 5 subs again. They donít like the playing field being levelled. Fuck them.

1-0 to West Ham.  Nicely controlled and precise finish from Fornals - or as Jamie Carragher would have it, not the best of strikes.

Joe Gomez has had a shocker of a season. He was atrocious against us and itís his header that set up their goal

Itís weird how players do this sometimes, because outside of this season heís always looked pretty decent to me.

My Liverpool supporting mate was saying that Gomez started 4th choice last year, became 3rd choice this season and with Matip out heís now a starting option. Says more about Southgate and Englandís lack of good CBís that heís in the squad at all.

I've noticed that Carragher insists on referring to Alexander-Arnold only by his first name of Trent.  Is he too idle to state his surname?  Or are they close relatives?

I'm ok with that, I can't be arsed to type it out either, almost every player with a double-barrelled surname gets it shortened in some form.
