I always find it odd that Barnsley have only had 1 solitary season in the top flight. Think they've had about 75 seasons in the second tier (certainly more than any other club), but only ever promoted from there once.

Apropos of absolutely nothing I always really enjoy our away trips to Barnsley. In fact South Yorkshire aways are normally good fun whatever the score or result.

Who got the third? My hazy memories of the day mostly involve eating a very lovely homemade pie and chips in the pub before the game and The Bells are Ringing being sung at halftime.

Just checked and Adomah scored the other two. Had it in my head that Davis and Hogan both scored which would make it the ultimate collectors' item. I was wrong, though.

It used to be massive Oakwell didn't it, I'm sure it used to hold about 40,000.

40,255 vs Stoke, 1936, was their record attendance.

FA Cup round 3 1994, Charles and Johnson paraded to away end having just signed. Uncovered away end, great days.

Couldn't believe how small Barnsley was when I went there, felt like the same size as Solihull.

They do well to get such big crowds really.

Burnley seemed tiny as well.

Burnley used to (and probably still do) have the biggest percentage of population crowds in the country.

Surely Forest Green would win? Population smaller than Birmingham City's list of honours.

Expecting the Dodgy Man Buns to get a lesson on PL quality counter-attacking when they try to go balls out against Citeh tonight.
