If you look carefully, the ref was whistling for full time about a second after the handball. So, in the context of things, the decision for the penalty was strictly speaking correct. However, he should have blown for full time at least 30 seconds before that incident. If that had happened against us I would have been furious.

Always want Man Utd to lose but the good points are

we have more chance of finishing above a Brighton than Man U

the one thing worse than a bad manager is a manager who just does enough to save his job
I want Solksjier to stay at Utd for a long time so just doing enough is actually a good thing in the long term

(I might have spelled his name wrong but canít be bothered to look it up and also donít give a fuck)

United look like a midtable side with some top level players. There's no real snap in their attacking play, no real structure, just some hope that someone will do something inspired or they can catch someone on the break. The problem? Solskjaer is about as far away from a top level manager as possible, and they should ditch him for Pochettino yesterday (though obviously I hope they don't). Jack was lucky not to go there.

Even my Man United supporting mate said it was theft of the highest order and they didn't deserve anything.

Anyone watching Soccer Saturday? Lescott saying that itís probably good for us not playing in front of fans because they tend to get on the players backs easily?
That thought occurred to me recently, Jane.
Dean and others have mentioned about missing the crowd, but it is palpable at VP when the crowd is nervous or pissed off. Maybe the empty stadium is working for us.

Think it's benefiting us when we're actually leading games. Arsenal game for last 20 minutes would've been paranoia central with a full crowd just waiting for us to concede. Instead we saw it out reasonably comfortably.

Thought the real scandal in the Man. United game was the ref giving 5 minutes added time, Brighton scoring in the last 10 seconds of that and then another 90 seconds being found from nowhere to give Man. United time to win a corner, wait 30 seconds for likes of Maguire to come up for it and it to get taken (seen many games abroad when a ref will blow for FT after they give a corner).

Apparently it swung out of play aswell?

On the break where there's space they have it, and sometimes the individuals find a way, either individually or in combination. Against massed defences though their attacking lacks the sense that they've planned for this crazy situation, which is why they remind me of a midtable side.

We need to tell all of our players just kick or head the ball at the oppositions arms because it's a guaranteed penalty this season.

Grealish will have a field day.

Fergie will be very annoyed today. Yes he had the absolute command on refs not blowing till his team scored but he never ever won a match after the final whistle had been blown. Rita has one up on him.

VAR is becoming even more of a joke. We could have been safe in March if we'd just told Davis and Samatta to smash the ball at the defenders arms instead of trying to shoot .Actually we could convert Davis into a specialist Apendage striking forward to take advantage.
