7 points from 13 with 1W, 4D and 8L under Bilic. They are now 26 from 35 with 5W, 11D and 19L. If you think that the sacking of Bilic was too late with that first record, at the end of Feb, 2.5 months after he had been appointed and 13 games in, the Sam had only just got to 10 points in 13 with a 1-0 win over Brighton. I still don't think it was too late and he has just as much if not more responsibility for it. You could argue the players but he would have known who he had anyway and like with alot of people who voted for it, he was done over with Brexit as he couldn't get in his European players he wanted. Anyway he just wanted the stupid money knowing people would excuse him for a relegation if it happened. Looking forward to hearing the Destroy and Exit story on Atletico Mince soon.

My point about Fat Sam is that the media always trumpeted the fact that he had never taken a team down, now that he has they are claiming mitigating circumstances. Had they survived it would all have been down to his genius.

I hate the fawning around people like him, the likes of Warnock and good ol' 'Arry Rednapp, painted as paragons of virtue when the truth is something different as the supporters of the clubs they have managed will attest to.

I know it almost certainly won't happen, but wouldn't it be good if Juventus failed to get some results and missed the Champions League places. Currently 5th in Serie A with 3 games left... AC Milan also potentially at risk with Napoli and Atalanta.

Not to do with ESL, but a decent chance Lille beat PSG to the title. Not sure if that would be as big a shock as when Leicester won it?

They were 4th last year, and second the year before, so I'd say not a shock like that, no.

Ultimately they weren't good enough under Bilic and they weren't good enough under Allardyce either. Also, am I right in saying Allardyce also had the January transfer window to improve them?

Yep, he got in Robert Snodgrass and was supposedly denied some cheap European players as they now needed work permits due to Brexit. The same Brexit Sam voted and gave his public blessing for.

Ah, fair enough. Still would be nice to see a change from the usual suspects winning it.

Ligue 1 is strange, one club financially dominates like nowhere else in the world yet they do turn up some interesting winners. A decade ago Lille won it last, and the next season was Montpellier, which was kind of bizarre.

Fat Sam had never taken a team down, he'd never managed a side that played half decent football. Only one of those records still stands. Fat. Smug. Brexity looking wanker.

Just got round to watching MOD, I see Maupay got a red card after the game finished for protesting to referee Jon Moss and could get a significant ban as he continued to berate the ref after he got the card. Yes I know it's Jon Moss, but there have been other matches, when Maupay has lost his rag after the final whistle, including a confrontation with Konsa. The bloke's an absolute nutter.

He's an arsehole, it's why I never understood so many people on here wanting us to sign him. He's an ok player (but not great) but just isn't worth the hassle.
