A lot of advice out there about how to watch and follow the important games and yet there’s nothing about how to completely avoid everything and everyone until at least 6:30.

I've just signed up for BT Sport and am off to the shops - either way it's going to end up drunken.

Well I’m facing redundancy. Could do without a relegation so come on villa. Just one more game, one more win and stay in the prem.

Will start with the Arsenal game for the first 20 minutes or so. Depending on how that goes I might brave watching the Villa match from that point onwards.

They haven't looked completely useless, even when they've had things go against them in terms of VAR recently.

I wouldn't be stunned at all.   Just hope some of that Everton lot are playing for their futures and are not in cruise control.

A few games ago I stated that I was at peace with the prospect of relegation. Not the event itself but the future given our ownership, squad (even with the inevitable sales of some top players) and the competition we would face next season trying to get back up. To an extent that's all still true. But this club we all love has done it again. Like making that long putt to finish a really bad round of golf, after you said fuck this I'm never playing again, it's sucked us all back in. Raised our hopes. 7 points from 9 after a season of misery puts us on the verge of accomplishing what most of us thought was impossible after Man U beat us. Now, it will be hugely disappointing if we cannot finish it off after the hard work to get here. But it's Villa, and as much as they are capable of a swift kick in the bollocks, they are capable of precisely the opposite, like a soft unexpected caress across the shoulder by the girl you have always longed for, causing a stir of emotion that things after all might just be fine. Let's do this Villa.

Been somewhere between nervous as hell and shitting myself since i woke up. But she's gone to her sisters now so i can concentrate on the football. We will prevail.

Reckon we'll lose, Watford will lose and Bournemouth will draw.

I have a sinking feeling that one of our players has another seismic ricket left in him that they’ve saved for the last five minutes of the season....ie. an Engels, an El Ghazi even an Enckleman moment (shudders)
