To win, we’ll need to score, we can’t. 0-0.

We have to win 3 out of 4 to stand any remote chance
It’s BS
We won’t even win tomorrow (unless they put one in their own net).
The pipest of pipe dreams is over
Championship here we come

Today is the day we turn it round.
The sun is shining and its a 2-0 win for the Villa.
That prolongs the agony for a few more days anyway!

This is an absolute must win game for me. If we don't get three points today I think we are as good as down.

I can see us winning this today, if only for the reason that it would be typical for us to win now there's a 7 point gap. Because of the gap and the importance, I wonder if he'll throw a few gambles into the mix (Vassilev, Barry etc).

I was as down as anyone after the results yesterday and I don’t think we will get out of it, but the amount of people throwing in the towel completely is ridiculous. We need to change tactics, maybe go 3 at the back again and get more width from the fullbacks if Guilbert and Targett are fit, but if we get a win today we will have a chance to get back within striking distance of Watford or West Ham come Thursday, possibly even both if their game is a draw. I actually think we will get the win today, then it’s a long shot but we aren’t down yet.

My main reasoning behind this is coming out of the Derby 4-0 game last season. I remember thinking it was a great performance, but had come a few games too late and we had no chance of catching enough teams to make the playoffs. It’s a lot later now, but it won’t take a massive swing for us to still have a chance of staying up on the last day - we just have to win our games, hopefully that focuses the players minds.

I don't think 3 wins will be enough - We need all 4!

I can see West Ham/Watford drawing, and Watford beating Man City (they beat Liverpool convincingly remember, and Man City will have one eye on the return of the Champions League by that point). West Ham/Watford could both realistically finish on 38pts (assuming West Ham beat us), leaving us 11 points behind. We need all 4 wins, and hope that they don't put similar runs together.

Based on our current form, I think it's pie in the sky stuff. We won't gain another point all season.

You don't even get the 'laying traps' bullshit from Smith any more, these days it's more "it's highly unlikely we'd get anything from the Liverpool or Man U games".

Odd that we were laying traps when we looked more like we were laying cables
