What ever happens.  He needs to shake up the front line.  So playing Jack and Conor/Davis/Samatta.  Elmo right midfield is a decent shout.
All very unorthodox but we need to try something.

Dean, I hope you are reading this.   Or anybody that knows Dean.

my grandad used to say he could feel a goal coming in his bones (pronounced booooons as he was from Cradely). I just wonder.

We might indeed score a goal, although I doubt it.  Trouble is, they'll score three or four.

Man utd still have something to play for. This won't be like the liverpool game. More like the Chelsea game.

We haven't leaked too many goals per game since the restart. It could happen against someone and maybe these as they seem to be good again. I fancy us for the draw.  1-1 maybe.

I'd take that Bren. Our XG against has gone from the worst in the league to the 4th or something daft- so we've stopped giving away such a glut of chances. But we need to risk more in the final third.

Mind you, McGinn's improvement on Sunday seemed to coincide with a much better counter attack.

Reminds me of an old interview with Brian Clough.....”Brian, what do you need to do to win this match?”...Brian: score one more goal than the other team.👍

This is basically it. Win or bust. We've already got a 4 point gap to make up, with shit goal difference. Unfortunately we've already had our token once in a blue moon good performance against Utd. I think we're gonna get trounced, and if West Ham or Watford pick up anything in their next games, we might as well start planning for life back in the Championship. We have to win our home games at least to stay up. We're gonna need 3 wins in our final 5 games bare minimum. I just don't see that. The chances have been there since restart but we've not taken the opportunity to catch teams on beach mode. We've not played a single side that looked all that sharp yet, and we've given sides very comfortable 2nd gear victories. There's just too much to do now. I think the players know that, so I expect us to crumble at the first sign of trouble. If/when Utd score we'll cave.

Dean's pre-match blurb: "We have to maintain our standards defensively and better them if possible. If we do that, we're in the game and we have to make sure that we turn on our quality in the final third."

Got it. So, play better all round then.

maintain standards? what standards?

We're a shambles at the back, only slightly better than Garde and Blacks shambles of the Lescott, Richards, Cissokho, Richardson, Hutton, Lyden, Bacuna, Clark and all that toss era

I don't think we've been too bad at the back since the re-start. It's the other end of the pitch that's the main problem.

You Forget how horrid their fans are until you talk to one. Had a united supporting employee tell me that Grealish isn't good enough for their bench today, and would be annoyed if they signed him and he stopped their better youth players gf trying game time.

Told him he'd be their best player.

Hope we get an unlikely win.

I think we'll need to score 3 or 4 to win this.

Can't see it I'm afraid.
