Only one winner - and it will be big.

More than a 4-0 defeat I'm fearful.

Samatta/Davis didn't work at all v Wolves so I think we need to try McGinn or AEG up there instead playing off Davis. McGinn was actually decent enough when he came on v Wolves so maybe bring both of them in. Midfield options are very limited as looks like Drinky or even Ramsey aren't seen as an option and we can't consider starting Hourihane at Anfield. Our shape defensively was decent against Wolves so think we should keep a similar formation

If Steer still isn't fit then I think we need to get the tubby baldly guy back in nets. Hit Davis and play from there when we get the ball.

--------------------Reina
Guilbert/Elmo, Hause, Mings, Taylor
----------------------Luiz
----------McGinn, Nakamba,
------------------Grealish
---------------AEG, Davis

Reina to start and have an absolute blinder - us to win 1-0. Van Dick bringing down Jack in the 97th min, ref books Jack for diving but VAR (Kevin Friend) overturns the decision and gives us a pen, Jack takes it and scores a 'panenka'
Happy days

Straws to clutch at.

In 1982/83 Liverpool wrapped up the league with plenty of games to spare.

Their last six games were W 0  D 1  L 5.

I never miss a Villa game but I’m also planning to take the dog for a long walk at 4.30 on Sunday, especially if Liverpool name a strong line up. I really think it will be painful to watch.

That’s an excellent straw, and I’ll clutch that if you don’t mind?!

And you can bet right now we'd be the draw.

Do they have Champions League to worry about soon?
They are out?

Coronavirus spreading Atletico Madrid!

I take no notice of other competitions I have no vested interest in!!

I wonder if it's worth giving Vassilav (or whatever his name is) a go with Samatta? Davis has done ok but he doesn't seem to have a goal threat in him although we didn't create anything for both forwards in fairness against Wolves. Worth a try me thinks.

Hoping for a win...I'll be in hiding as it's 4th of July weekend over here.

Regardless, these are not the games that define our season :)

If we go down with Bournemouth and Norwich, Watford may disagree.

We WERE the draw, I remember it well. 1-1.
