Was that Purslow in the tunnel when Smith seems to be trying to explain tactics to him? If it was, Purslow's body language didn't look very positive. Hmmm...

Hopefully Dean was telling him what compensation package he wanted.

Worth a try with two up front but surely Elmo at RB would have made sense for his crossing alone?  And for the fact that he is an actual RB?  Midfield looks pretty lightweight but at least McGinn ins't part of it - he's been awful.  Glad Traore isn't starting but probably not as glad as Targett is.

Could be a midfield diamond? Is hopefully not a flat midfield four with Jack left as that at home would be dumb? Hopefully???

Hats off to BT sport.... spent the whole prematch buildup actually talking about Villa and Wolves. If this had been on Sky sports, we’d have had 25 minutes of waxing lyrical over Liverpool, and a brief glimpse of today’s team sheets!

I have steered clear of Sky Sports and Talk Sport.  10 hour tribute programmes to Liverpool, sickening.  No other club, even Man Yoo get that type of coverage.

Could of beat Sheffield if not for a couple of excellent saves by Henderson particularly a point blank save from Davis

This could be interesting. I’d still bite your hand off for a point.

Yes, I was thinking exactly that when they lined up outside Anfield to ignore social distancing to celebrate their end of 30 years of mediocrity (not quite mediocre to be absolutely fair!).

Yeah, diamond or 4-3-3 with Jack the 3rd attacker just off the front two.
