Baston was in the squad on Wed - we will never know if any good

Chester - good servant but time to go

Green - Has all the physical attributes but not the application or desire - never going to make it at even Championship level

Doyle Hayes - thought he was well thought of - but obviously not enough for this level - shame but that is football

O'Hare & RHM - really surprised especially if we go down they could have been 2 home grown players to have led the journey back once all the big time Charlies had fecked off.

Seems that we don't have any promising youngsters to come through other than Vassilev and Archer

Best for all of the above to move on. Plenty of players have proved Villa wrong over the years and some of these may do again.

Depends which age group you’re applying that to, but Jacob and Aaron Ramsey, Mungo Bridge and Louie Barry all have some potential.

We will obviously never know how much, if any, difference it would have made but they really should have been out on loan much earlier. Wasted too many years in the Under 23s/on the fringes of the first team squad.

Hope he does well but in reality he has done ok once he got in the Coventry team but they only played 3/4 of the season in league one and didn’t have to play any of the pressure games to get promoted. 

Coaches will know enough about his ability & character to make a reasoned judgement.
