Very sad news. Will always remember him and his great left foot assists in a game against Leicester in 2003.

Rest in peace, Peter.

Did he play at VP when Cardiff were in premier league?

Was looking at line up for 2004 season when he scored the opener v Portsmouth. Quite sobering to see him in same line up as Jloyld Samuel. I think Portsmouth also had a player who's sinced passed away. Can't be any other premier league fixture in recent times where 3 competiting players have since died.
Probably only noticing because it's the Villa but I can't think of another club where a group of players have passed away at relatively young ages in a few short years. Dalian, J'Lloyd, Ugo and now Peter Whittingham. Very sad.

we've had Mathew Brazier ,Chris Barker , Whitts and Sala that has passed away at young ages in the last 2 years and you could add jlloyd samuel too who was on loan with us . incredible

You can add to that Les Sealey (43), Paul Birch (46), Bernie Gallacher (44), Neale Cooper (54), Cyrille Regis (59), Eamonn Deacy (53).

in the grand scheme of things it's trivial whether he was or wasn't
