Pires didn't take the piss that I remember and as we could only sign free agents was probably the best available, he probably shouldn't be lumped in with some of the wasters we've had over the years.

Wow, never knew Najwan turned on little Wrighty like that! I was intrigued by Ghrayib; Gregory rarely bought outside of the UK (like MON) and an alternative, exotic left full back to give competition to plain but reliable Alan Wright really filled me with hope and joy for a while in the late 90's.  #RandysRomanticNourishment
