There’s no need for a drains up investigation.

You sign and play a bloke in goal that’s played three times in 18 months who makes mistakes instead of someone who hasn’t put a foot wrong since an injury.

You buy Konsa instead of experience. You play three at the back when four is needed and vice versa.  You play zonal marking at set pieces when week after week it’s shown not to work resulting in us having the worst defence in the league.

You play your most influential midfield player isolated on the left and don’t do anything to change it despite the opposition nullifying him and thus any creative spark.

You don’t buy any experienced strikers in the summer and you’re left in January with an unproven, unknown striker who is forced to battle against two massive units on his own until you realise after 75 minutes and 2-0 down it isn’t working then if you’re lucky you get a partner up front.

Watford showing a bit of fight as are West Ham. We look clueless. Jack on the left? Why? Long hopeful balls up field. Very worrying.

Hologram has reappeared, you start him in a home game against opposition we are looking to attack not away against the third best team in the league. Drinkwater would have been revved up for tonight, I would have started him.

Samatta is never going to win 50-50s against physical defenders, if we're playing hit and hope then Davis should be up front instead.
I don't think we strung more than one pass together for most of that half. Fucking dreadful.

Mings is obviously being instructed to mark himself at set pieces.  I’d sack Terry at HT.

We've been poor but fuck me, when your most experienced player does that you really are fucked.

Thankfully Leicester had Mings on the line to let it in. Neither of his feet appeared to function. It will make a brilliant GIF.

Tough for Mings to deflect that as he was going the wrong way. Clever finish by Barnes.

All on Reina I'm afraid. Think we'll be seeing Nyland on Saturday.

Good bits first ten minutes, bad bits the next 35 minutes.
We can't defend, every corner against us I expect either Soyuncu or Evans to nod one in. Defenders and midfielders constantly losing runners in and around the box.
Samatta completely isolated, this is utter wank.

Zonal marking again at corners, too deep, crap defending, poor ball retention, stupid/crazy decision making, miles off the pace, losing every loose ball, not supporting the forward.  We are so truly poor.  What planet are these owners on to think that Dean Smith should still be in charge of this shower of shit.  Massive second half coming up. I'd rather lose three or four that watch us meekly lose.  fucking go and have a go at them.

Never thought I'd compare Mings and Engels to the comedy double act we had in 15/16, but they are currently running them pretty close in the brainfart stakes. Pathetic.

The midfield three are just so weak and flat footed, Jack's totally wasted on the wing and Samatta is isolated.

I would have binned Smith a long time ago. Thanks for the playoff win at Wembley and all, but I'm afraid he's not a Premier League manager.

Vampires are happier with crosses than our defence.

I really don't feel like punishing myself further by watching this nightmare unfold even worse in the second half. This is fuckin painful viewing.

As it stands, the gap in goal difference between us and them is 45. Think about that for a moment, but not for too long as it could take you to a dark place.

Zero shots on target in the first half, and zero corners.

Woe, woe and thrice woe.

I'm starting to feel the same level of disdain for some of this lot as I had for the 2015-16 vintage.

I think the owners will regret not changing manager at the start of the year.

Smith should regret sticking Jack where he's least effective.

I don't see any responsibility/leadership being shown. At all.

I feel like opening the window and hurling my laptop out every time I see Dean's gormless face, with the game seemingly passing him by.

Rubbish so far: game and season.

Who believes this team would/will perform well in the Championship?
