Get Allardyce in to bore us to survival.  It’s our only hope.
I’ll think it might have to come to that.
We need to stop conceding bucket loads of chances to have any hope of nicking wins so Allardyce might be the answer and I never thought I’d say that

"Dean Smith and John Terry were just involved in a huge bust up, in the Southampton tunnel. The row threatened to get physical until the two men were pulled apart, by Southampton officials!"

There’s a rumour on Twitter that Smith and Terry had a bust up in the tunnel and had to be separated.

Reina 5 - very sloppy distribution and communication with Mings in particular seemed totally off. Made a couple of good saves, mind.
Guilbert 4 - torn apart by Djenepo throughout. Really poor on the ball too.
Konsa 4 - back to his very worst, no awareness of runners around him, dreadful for the goal.
Mings 5 - all over the place, poor on ball, poor clearances, a lot of pointing but not much leadership
Hause 5 - out of his depth at this level, tried manfully when out of position
Targett 5 - very limited player, did ok at times on the ball but never a threat going forward
Luiz 2 - shameful lack of application, letting Adams turn him for the second goal instead of taking the yellow summed him up.
Nakamba 4 - such a limited player, stuck to the ground and his ball control is abysmal
AEG 3 - thought he was doing ok up to his 'injury' but that took the piss
Trez 5 - in fairness to him he kept going anyway but such a limited player
Samatta 6 - a pity we couldn't get him into the game more as he looked lively
Grealish 6 - very good in first half but having moved centrally in the second he was anonymous . Thought he jacked it in to be honest.
Hourihane 6 - should have passed to Grealish for that chance but definitely improved things in midfield when he came on.

Smith 3 - tactical rabble and a dispirited team. Unacceptable performance but tactically he isn't helping them. For example, when AEG wouldn't come back on surely he should have brought Hourihane on then and changed our shape given the trouble we were in. No change at half time, another 15-20mins wasted until finally the change was made.

As if it couldn’t get more embarrassing.

He’s lost the plot.  He’s on sky saying he can’t remember many clear cut chances for them in the first half.

I'm going to have a chat with Jameson. He might come back if that's true.

Smith..."My feelings are embarrassment. It was a dreadful performance. We never competed well enough, never showed enough desire to get on the ball. The thing that hurt me the most was the lack of fight. That is the lowest of the low."

I wonder how Smith will play that one if asked in the Post Match interview , no doubt play it down.

Least that’s honest.

Smith, "Some of the players have played themselves out of the cup final"
