TWENTY EIGHT shots conceded says it all really

Only the equal ineptness of the other teams around us can save us because we look incapable of doing it for ourselves

Don't particularly like any of our players besides Jack and Mings.

Am not a Smith fan at all, though would love him to turn it all around.

As for..nah, fuck it. A shit match, shit performance, lack.of desire, passion, energy, and above all, ability.

Final will be a struggle next week if we play like that.

Up the Villa. Rouse yourselves Villa, you fuckers.

A struggle? We play like that next week and we’ll lose by 10.

It pains me to say it but I think Dean Smith is finished here. A single shot on target at a time when we simply need to be competing for points.

I really thought we’d get a performance today. Clearly not...I dread to think what Man City will do to us next week. If they batter us then Dean has to go. I know it’s probably too late but we are going down as it stands.
Still not sending my Wembley ticket back though....😂

Utter detritus. 3 points out of a possible 18 against the combined might of Watford , Southampton and Bournemouth. Last Chance Saloon now open for business.

We are very clearly getting worse. It looks like we have, as a team, just given up frankly.

Sack him now, maybe we salvage enough to stay up, but the last few weeks have been absolutely unacceptable.

Not getting on the manager out bandwagon, pointless at this stage in the season imo and the same posters say after most poor results. But performance wise looking likely now and feel utterly deflated (understatement of the year). Only saving grace is Bournemouth’s result and I would hope Man Utd and Liverpool doing us favours in the coming days, if those results go as would be expected it’s as you were in terms of the table more or less. But it’s difficult in the cold light of that performance to see where the next result is coming from. FFS!!!!!

Fucking awful from start to finish.  Sack Smith tonight, he's approaching Lambert and Sherwood levels of utter incompetence.  Bin him and use the two weeks before the next league game to get somebody in who can organise and motivate the players for the last few matches.

Dean Smith is not going to be sacked. And neither should he.

Haven’t posted here for a while but that was dreadful
We never looked like scoring, even the ‘reliable’ Reina had a mare with his decision making today
Sleepwalking to the championship and back to where small heath have a chance at us again
Really bad day

Smith is nowhere near the quality of manager we need to survive in this league, and I'm starting to question Jack as captain too.  Take your claret and blue specs off, and yes, whilst its romantic to have Villa supporters in those roles, neither of them are good enough for the job at hand.

Could you imagine Roy Keane or even John Terry casually brushing aside a performance like that - They need a rocket both in the dressing room AND on the pitch - Mings would be our best option imo.

No hiding now. Smith has HIS players on the pitch, yet 2 of our best aren't even his signings (Jack and John).

Our only hope, is McGinn comes back into the side..... and it's the McGinn from the first half a dozen games of the season, not the one he'd become prior to his injury!

To not be able to muster a single shot against a team that has the worst home record in the league is criminal.
To not have the nouse to be able to set your team up to be able to create one single chance against a team with the worst home record in the league is ineptness.

To concede 20 odd chances to this lot is fucking abysmal.

There is no defence for him anymore. It is his totally his squad and his team.
They are shit, he is shit and it’s time to say goodby to him.

We've lost games this season where there have been plenty of positive aspects, despite the defeat. Today was not one of them.  First half was as bad as I've seen us play under Smith, second half marginally better (but that wasn't difficult), but we never really looked threatening despite having more of the ball.

Play like that another six or seven times and we're down.  Our chances to perform are slowly disappearing.

Gutless and completely expected. I can't believe how much space out of possession this team gives the opposition. You have to point the finger at Suso, Smith and his coaching team and everyone who picks up up there money who steps onto that pitch.

El Ghazi today tells you all you need to know about this team...they're going down without a fight.
