Someone has lost the dressing room.  Is my view.

Yes, it is hard to disagree with that.

The giveaway is the total lack of energy and fight.

Yep. The sheer passive lethargy of it all suggests it’s over.

Normally you might think, "yes! some consequences from that shit!" but it probably means Drinkwater instead of Luiz and Trezeguet instead of El-Ghazi (who is probably going to be out with a lightly brushed cheek anyway).

And we'll see exactly the same piss poor featherweight midfield that has seen us concede over 25 shots in both our last two games.

Only this time it'll be a team who will make the most of it.

Simply by sanctioning the signing of Drinkwater, Smith needs to go. Let's be honest much of this season has been abysmal. Even if by some miracle we win the cup and end up being relegated I would hope the owners thoroughly review their managerial  and coaching options in the summer.

El Ghazi really shouldn't be allowed to play for the rest of the season, the massive, massive fanny.  He makes Patrick Bamford look like Vinnie Jones.  When our two best players are shouting at him to get up, I can't really see a way back.

We simply have to change the manager to even have the slightest hope of staying up.

That was another sign there's something seriously wrong in the dressing room.

Its like groundhog day
After ever defeat we bemoan our fate and say we are doomed.
Give D.S his day out at the cup final and then put someone in charge to keep us up.
The current Management team can not get the passion or the fight from this lot.
Why is it that every team seems to have a couple of nasty fuckers who give it their all, but with the exception of Jack and Mings our lot are so docile
We really have an inexperienced, clueless lot, players and staff.

Smith, "Some of the players have played themselves out of the cup final"

That was the plan all along, so they can avoid being involved in a thrashing!

Drinkwater is cup-tied & other than Jack & Mings nobody is worthy of their place next week.

Crikey what a poor day.

Queued like you were at the Hawthorns to get in. Two Villa fans squaring up on the aisle before a ball was kicked. Then Hause letting a ball bounce inside the box to create completely unnecessary panic and disorganization that we didn't recover from, organisationally.

Konsa completed the obvious unforced error, one of many that we gift sides multiple times a game, so naturally Long scored as a result of it.

We recycled possession so cheaply. We were so lightweight in midfield that their three breezed past our two with ease.

It was really shambolic and we were so easily pressed. The Wing backs so deep. A diabolical effort. Somebody vomited at half time. I can understand their nausea.

Second half the wing backs were a touch higher, but we only got into the game when Hourihane came on and the system changed. I felt Southampton got very wasteful in possession and deeper, which enabled us to take up more of the ball. But it was utterly brainless. Douglas, Guilbert and Grealish, all very frustrating in their final ball. Trezuguet isn't good.enough, but neither is House or Konsa at this rate.

Being clear, there's a lot of blame to be shared. It was a woeful performance.

Outside there was some aggro, sparked by a racist Southampton fan gobbing off.

I know Engles made two bad errors, but he is a much better player than Hause or Konsa. I equally felt we were so slow in reacting to their press. We could have easily been 3-0 down at half time, rode our luck at points in the second, but we got into positions to have done so much better second half; Trezuguet, Hourihane, Grealish all so wasteful and brainless.

3 really poor defeats in a row and it wont improve away from.home at least, when we're so ready to gift goals through poor, poor, errors.

Lots of fighting amongst ourselves today too.
