The men's tournament might be more interesting now that the egotistical barstool is not there.

Some performance from the Japanese qualifier, first appearance in the 3rd round of a major. Tough on Emma having a blister on her racket hand.

Shapovalov will be kicking himself. Nadal was beaten, but Shapovalov ending up beating himself. And this time Nadal may actually have not been 100%. We are used to Nadal not doing well then calling the physio to disrupt the opponent, but today he could hardly move. And Shapovalov still found a way to lose.

At the same time as watching Ash Barty win her semi final, I was doing the Daily Mail crossword, one of the clues was cigarette deposit 3 letters!

Barty comes from 5-1 down in the 2nd set to win the title, first female Aussie to win this Open in 44 years.

Well Barty wins it finally. I was wanting Collins to win, but it was maybe too much for someone that inexperienced to be in front of such a hostile crowd (putting it politely).

Sadly will only be able to watch the beginning of the  match today, as I reckon it could be a cracker, going for Medvedev in 5 sets.
