I’m assuming it’s a severe case of dented pride followed by extreme piss taking from his team mates.

I imagine it’s more a severe case of dented pride followed by extremely pissed off team mates.

Man City have bigger things to concern them than this cup so I'm hoping they will treat it like Liverpool did last night V West Ham.  Somebody told me today that they've been to Wembley 17 times under the new owners. It's bound to lose it's appeal with that regularity.

I think they’ve got through the angry bit of the change curve, have reached acceptance and now intend to make him suffer for being such a fannying bottle merchant.

This guy simulated the match 108 times on Football Manager 2020.

We won 26, Man City won 82.

So you're saying there's a chance?

I feel a bit flat about it all which I hate given how rare it is we get to cup finals. Has we lost at Southampton putting in solid display I know we’d all feel differently. I know I’d have more optimism. But now it’s more a case of expecting what seems inevitable and being behind delighted with anything else. I do hope all at the club realize what a shit show that was at the weekend and there would be no better stage or platform to rebound from than by winning the cup.

That's true but this game has the potential to be a bigger mismatch than the Arsenal humiliation. Hopefully the trip to Madrid knocks a few injuries out of them and they play somewhat of a scratch side on Sunday. I just hope we make a game out of it.

We so need some kind of competitive performance on Sunday not just for the fact it’s a cup final but for the remaining games of the season.

Quite a worrying stat that says we’ve have only got one point this season against the top nine in the Premier League and seven of our last 11 games are against the top nine.

After the 94 final win we slumped in the league. Looking st 96, our form did likewise. Including the semi-final against Liverpool, we lost 4, drew 1 and won 2 of our last 7 games.

I see that the 4th official on Sunday is David Coote who was the VAR that didn't send off Spurs' Giovani Lo Celso at the weekend.

In 96 Southgate got injured against Liverpool and missed all but the last game of the season. I think that was a bigger factor than any 'cup hangover' tbh

We lost 3 and drew 1 of out last 4. We actually won 2 on the spin after Liverpool, which I think may have had more of an impact given the way the game ended.
