Edward Woodward's house attacked by "fans"

Even in the deepest darkest days of Dougdom , we never stooped this low.

Too many nouveau Scummers brought up during the Fergie years think Yanited have a God given right to continued success and are struggling to come to terms with the current scenario.

The police have classed it as "An attempt to endanger life". It seems like some kinds of fire bombs may have been involved. Luckily Woodward and his wife and kids were not at the property at the time. Absolutely frightening and disgusting.

This, exactly. It’s really pathetic.

Appalling.

Relegation (if that was possible) would do that rabble a world of good.

I used to scowl in the direction of his house on the downward final section of the Sutton Fun Run.

It was reported that they threw a flare. So not a firebomb as such, but if they were deliberately throwing it at the house to try to catch it on fire, they do deserve the jail time.

He should hire The Equalizer to get his own back.

There have been lots of Man United games this year where they would of liked to hire the Equaliser!

In all seriousness what kind of a world do we live in where that’s seen as a reasonable reaction to your football team slipping to 5th or 6th in the table?

There's a story that all was not as it seems here. His PR worker is employed by the Sun, who got exclusive pictures, the police weren't informed until two hours after the attack and at 9pm on a school night a house where two six year olds live was empty.

Isn't that just the ramblings of one conspiracy theorist? I think his main family home (ie wife and kids) is in London, so presumably he stays there in the week when he's working.  That would explain the kids not being there.

Hmmmmmm.

So at best case The Sun reporter was made aware of a "protest" and didn't know it was going to turn illegal, yet they never reported the crime to the Police when it did which must also be an offence anyway. Or worst case, Ashton alerted The Sun in advance of the "protest". After all, his job is to PR for Woodward (ostentatiously PR for Manure but doesn't work with any of the current PR team and reports directly to the Chief Exec), and it has mentioned elsewhere, within days of him starting The Sun was doing a column defending Woodwards record at the club.

I keep misreading this thread title and thinking Edvard's house has been attacked.
