Tonight was everything I live for as a fan, whatever the outcome of the final is.

The team were magnificent to a man, to watch that side rise to the occaision when so often I've seen us wilt was a joy.

Up the fucking Villa.

I agree with LeeB.

I've seen some sights as a Villa fan, but tonight was up there with the very best.

Jesus fucking H, Yes!

Up there with Tranmere? In 2010 I thought the Blackburn game was 'up there' with Tranmere but, because we lost the final to united, it probably has fallen back

I’d like to apologise to all the people in the Dubliner in Santa Maria, Sal, Cape Verde tonight, I lost it when Trez scored. Fortunately celebrating on my own meant a few funny looks but fair play to the Norwegian bloke who came over to me to say well done and was genuinely pleased for me and my team. What a night, it’s always hard not being there for the big nights but that was special even watching from so far away.

I agree, still buzzing having just got back home. What a moment when that 2nd went in. If we play like that, there is no way we will go down. Just hope Smith is hammering home to focus on Sat but keep that perf going.

Brilliant Villa.

I'm gonna push our luck here. Assuming City finish off United tomorrow and go on to qualify for the Champions League, are we in the Europa whatever happens at Wembley or doesn't it work like that. If it doesn't, it ought to lol.

Some fantastic performances, all were disciplined and energetic, good defensive shape apart from letting Maddison have too much space in the lines between midfield and defence, he nearly punished us 5 times.

Game ebbed and flowed, thought they were very good first half and goal was a bit of a smash and grab.

Second half I thought we were as competitive as I’ve seen us all season, they were getting more frustrated as they couldn’t get any kind of momentum going until the goal. New lad struggled but I was very impressed with Davis’ return.

MOM Nyland, Nakamba and Jack ran him close

What does it say on the big screen ?

I could be wrong, but it looks to me like 'Fuck the Albion'.

Get in!

Well played everyone.

Despite Mike Dean playing half an hour more than he should have.

He still hasn’t got over the Tranmere semi final

Grealishs pass for Targetts goals was world class.

That one was good but in the second half he played a 1-2 with Targett where he kinda chipped the ball between 2 players and then ran through and got the shot away. That little chipped pass is one of the most arrogantly brilliant things I've ever seen him do, made it look like he was taking the piss with a bunch of kids in the park, against one of the best defences in the country. It's actually scary how good he can become, I don't think we're witnessing the blossoming of a very good Villa player, I think we're seeing the development of one of English footballs great talents. That's probably over the top but he really is that good and for the last couple of months he's been that good week in, week out.
