Double standards
« on: January 26, 2020, 07:16:29 PM »
Tonight after the Shrewsbury vs liverpool game a few hundred Shrewsbury fans came on the pitch. MOTD say great to see and what a fantastic atmosphere.  Go back a few years to when we beat Albion and MOTD said it was like going back to the dark ages.

While you have a point, let's not be putting a win against the Albion in the same bracket as Shrewsbury getting a a result against Liverpool.

Exactly, beating the Albion is far bigger than drawing with someone's reserves/youth team.

As for the double standards, we mainly copped it for the invasions before the whistle. And the pathetic hyperbole from Pearce and Lawrenson seemed to fuel all te over reaction that followed, although in fairness I remember the boy Lineker sticking up for us while most others were acting as though WW3 had kicked off.

Yep, it was the visibly arseholed fiftysomethings on the touchline while the game was going on that gave them the chance to get themselves into a lather.

Isn't it time we let this go?  We've moved on.

Wasn't it Tiny Penis that coined the "Dark ages" comment?

Good to see that Tiny admitted his brand of football is from the dark ages.

I've always had the opinion any adult that runs on the pitch at the end of a game is a bellend no matter who they support.
