Two assists for Louie in the Blades' 4-1 win at Chesterfield.

Aston Villa can confirm that Louie Barry has completed a permanent transfer to Sheffield Wednesday.

Barry joined the club from Barcelona in 2020 and, after scoring on his senior debut against Liverpool in the FA Cup, would go on to lift the FA Youth Cup with Villa.

He has since spent time on loan at Ipswich Town, Swindon Town, MK Dons, Salford City, Sheffield United, Hull City and Stockport County, enjoying three successful stints with the latter, helping the Hatters win promotion in 2024 and reach the League One Play-Off Final last term.

Always struck me as very raw in his age group appearances for us and he has gone to a club that look like they are going to have a dip at going up this year so if he has a good fitness season he might find his feet
