I was just listening to Radio Five Live and Nihal Arthanayake was interviewing Ian Stirling (Man Yoo vice chair of the supporters club) and he refused to condemn the chanting calling for the death of Ed Wooward Vice Chairman and said they were just 'nursery rhymes'. Sounded a charming chap. I hope they go down*, the spoilt shits.

I don't think we ever got to the point of chanting similar to Doug, but there were a few on here who wished him dead at certain times.

I didn't realise there were those chants last night, but I laughed at some of the ex-players comments this morning. Fletcher did make a reasonable point that young players could be affected in a toxic atmosphere, however Ferdinand stated worry was kids in schools wouldn't want Manure shirts after those type of performances.....

Diddums. You mean the stream of plastics they’ve had since the mid-90s might dry up?!

Having ridden the wave on Fergusson's success a dose of reality is no bad thing. They need to recalibrate their expectations. Perhaps Mourinho was right, second was a fantastic result for them.

In fairness, most clubs incluing us have sung the 'build a bonfire' song in the past.

I much prefered them winning everything, I was completely immune to it. The Liverpool wankfest is going to be horrendous.

Liverpool and Man United are two cheeks of the same arse. Hope they rot. Obviously, might have to wait a while in the former case.

We were the predominant English club of the 1890s, which at the time probably meant we were the biggest club in the world.  Unfortunately, empires crumble and are often never re-built.  So it would seem with ManUre.  Tough.  Their fans will just have to get used to what we and many others have as our lifetime supporting experience: enjoying our past triumphs vicariously and hoping for the occasional season in the sun.

Used to crack me up during their golden era the amount of plastics that would phone up 606 to have a rant. I guess they'll all claim they were Liverpool fans all along now. Script used to go like this:

"Now let's go to Dave, from Tunbridge Wells, Man United fan. Were you at the game today Dave?"

"Nah, listened to it on the radio (rambles nonsense for another 5 minutes)
"

Long may it continue - not a game went by when those twunts would run on our pitch.

I was all for Manure knocking Liverpool off their perch after growing up with Liverpool 'supporting' kids. I am now quite pleased that Liverpool are making Manure look so second/third rate. I think at a push I would rather talk to a plastic Liverpool fan than a plastic Manure fan.

For me I’d talk football to neither, other than to expose their plastic ness. Their opinion is utterly worthless to me.

Quite. I'll talk football with the Blose, Albion, Oxford, Kidderminster, Forest and various other club fans at work. When Liverpool or Man U gloryhunters try to engage me in football chat I make my excuses. You're not a football fan if you can't take the pain and misery that goes with it and have to pick a team just because they win every week.

"Liverpool and Man United are two cheeks of the same arse". Fantastic! I am stealing that to throw at fans of both clubs in the future. That will really boil their piss.

In fairness I didn't come up with it, I've nicked it from various Scots saying the same about Sellicunranejurs.
