The worst, most worrying, most depressing thing about this isn't the general ineptitude, it is the near total lack of spirit.
I was just thinking that.  There's been no reaction to the Man City result at all.

Fuck off smith. Fuck off ‘suso’. Fuck off ‘Drinky’.

We’re going down with a whimper, we’re cashing in on a once in a generation genius and good luck to him, and we’re staying down. Fucking incompetence of the highest order top and bottom.

Truly dire stuff.  No discernible way of playing, no threat in the final third, Keystone Cops in our own box, enough space in our midfield to drive a bus through, players looking disinterested, one player in particular looking so slow and knackered (understandably so).

Can we sack Smith at half-time...we are so far beyond inept its negligent not to get rid of him (and Suso).

Playing 3 at the back is supposed to allow the wing-backs to push on, instead we are playing 5 at the back (very poorly mind) and the midfield is awol.

We are in deep, deep trouble as-is.

Surely even Smith isn't stupid enough to send us out for the second half with no changes?

Hourihane is the only obvious one given we've had some corners today. We bring on Luiz, he's been as bad as the starting two in last few games.

Drinkwater off, Vassilev on. El Ghazi and Trez out wide and jack into the middle.

It can’t get any worse.. might as well put someone who claims to be a striker up there.

This 3-4-3 has been terrible all year and turns into a 5-2-3 when we defend. It’s not front foot attacking football.

We are atrocious to watch.

Hause, Targett, Nakamba, Drinkwater, El Ghazi...the mind boggles. Professional footballers? Wankers.

Something I've been thinking for a few months now but we are unquestionably the worst footballing side in the league. I honestly believe the players aren't as poor as they pretend to be and that responsibility lies at the door of Dean Smith.

Losing the game in midfield. 451. Luiz on for Drinkwater, before he gets sent off. Vassilev on for Hause. Grealish into the middle. Ghazi and Trez out wide. It's still shit, bit it's all we have.

Instead we'll do fuck all.

Do ya wanna a job?

Very scrappy game, almost as bad as the cabbage patch of a pitch.

We're the masters of our own downfall in giving the ball away; Hause for the goal and the three scrambles in the box all through careless balls out the back.

El Ghazi has to occupy their defenders more and offer an out ball through the channel.

Drinkwater started slowly, but since he lamped somebody he has picked up. Him and Nakamba though lack dynamism. I'd bring Luiz on for Hause and give him more licence to break forwards.

Should have scored with that header just before the break.

Not just reacting to this match but smith simply will not get us out of the mire. Stick with him this win or lose will be our championship next year. Thanks for promoting us but we were unready to be here and have not looked convincing all season to be honest.
