That's right, we might not know much about Samatta but in his homeland this is absolutely huge. I was listening to a reporter from Cloud FM in Tanzania who has flown over to watch the game and approx. 4 million are out on the streets watching this game tonight, he also said that fans in Tanzania normally support 'The Mighty Reds YNWA', Man U Arsenal or Chelsea but now they are all Villa fans.

He is by far the biggest name ever in Tanzanian football, hope I can say later that I was there when he opened his goal tally at Villa Park tonight.

Samatta  looked every inch what he is, a young, raw, willing striker who has never played at this level before. It won’t happen overnight. Had 2 chances and didn’t connect with either. He’s not going to be our new Darren Bent yet.
