Renato’s restaurant, which I think was called something else, was in Lichfield.

Used to visit the Mere Green restaurant frequently with my parents when Renato was the "singing waiter". Sometime after he left the Mere Green restaurant, which he didn't own, he opened a restaurant somewhere in Moseley area.
The Gondola? Was above the music shop. Emma Willis, her of TV presenting fame, was also a waitress there.

Thanks for that. I've been wracking my brain to remember the original name of the restaurant.

For the premier league Ally Samatta can score at least 5  goals this season.
And I see capabilities of him scoring 8+ goals by end of season especially if he's given penalty taking responsibilities.
Looking forward to having a goal getter up front once again in the Villa team and a real difference to making chance to win games .

Do you know in which games, and who will assist? also which minute?

I wonder if the deal has hit a snag? No forward again for a massive game tomorrow night. Unbelievable that we're at the 20th January with no new striker.

Shambolic not to have a forward for four successive matches. Probably be at least five, too.

Very optimistic to assume that we will be spending enough time in the opposition box to win penalties.

Work permit application will be sat with relevant department and I assume we have no influence over the timescale here.

Imagining some Watford or West Ham fan dealing with the workpermit, oops that accidentally slipped to the bottom of my in-tray...

How does Sexual Ealing from Brent know all about Barnt Green and I a mere Green have never heard of Mere Green.  Bordesley, yes, Acocks, yes, Soylent, yes.  Mere?  Uh uh.

It's basically a bit of Four Oaks in Sutton Coldfield Brian.  A roundabout, some shops, a pub, a petrol station, a few restaurants  and a primary school.  The Renato's that's there now is in a fairly new precinct, Mulberry Walk,  so couldn't be the one frequented by BFR.  And I guess owned by Renato's family, since the big man has shuffled off the mortal coil.  It's dog and kid friendly and the mural is quite something.

When BFR managed us he lived in Barnt Green - south Birmingham by Longbridge. However, when he managed the Baggies, he lived in Four Oaks of which Mere Green is part and was partial to a bit of singing at Renato's in Mere Green. His daughter went to the same school as me and we sat next to each other in English. It was a bog standard comprehensive, so no idea why she went there with the likes of me.

Sending it back because it’s not in black ink and the signature is not totally within the allocated box!

Not sure why this one wasnt done earlier tbh, with it being a release clause met for the transfer and not having to go through the process of having bids turned down etc then surely the meeting of the release clause part of the transfer should of been done as soon as the window opened. I can only presume that he wasnt our 1st choice.

I feel its bad planning to leave us so short in such an important area of the pitch going into such a critical period of fixtures .

Smith saying deal done, bar the waiting on the work permit.

Damn those pencil pushers at City hall!

He is also confident we will get another striker in.

This is from the Mail.

Madness we are going into another game (against a team around us in the league) without a striker.
