I thought Hart explaining Morgan's free kick goal from the goalies perspective was really rather insightful by the recent MOTD standards?

Low bar I admit!

Rooney's analysis would have been just as insightful "he kicked a goal, it was good".

That's not a bloody quote, there are too many words.

That’s a Rooney thesis!

I find Hart a bit smarmy.

Fair enough. I don't really see it myself and I usually love hating people for being smarmy!

It feels like he's suppressing an accent somehow. He's from Shrewsbury, and God knows, they don't know what their accent is there (it seems to vary from street to street in my experience), but even so - he sounds like he's pretending at something.

Gavin Newsom is smarmy, but I don't see it either with Joe Hart. I think SE just dislikes him because Joe's from Shrewsbury and is therefore cool.

But as far as we know he's never stood up to President Trump, POTUS, 45 & 47, so he gets a pass.

It’s ridiculous having Rooney as a pundit. Little insight and can hardly string a sentence together.

The BBC have form, they employ Clinton Morrison as well!
