Harte and Warnock stood up for us. The French lad had éclair in his face.

Julien Laurens. I expect Marcotti might have a word or two with him when they next do a podcast.

This tweet is interesting though showing the setup for them before recording.

Could not see anything about this anywhere else.

2 things

The editing - in the show piece after the game they showed at least 3 good saves they did not show in the main edit. This made the game look so much even to how it actually was.

2nd point - during the GK montage they showed the incident where he blocked Ramsay outside the area, as much as not a direct foul he clearly moves the ball with his arm outside te box. How was that not picked up by VAR and discussed in the studio?

They also showed a close up of Unai. The interesting thing was Mings sat on the bench behind him. Mings was at that time already on the pitch. Poor continuity.
Interesting also not a word about the Villa stats as in a previous game and also they conveniently forgot about the totting up of fouls by Tuanzebe the ref pointed this out at the time of the first card.

It was Rogers, not Ramsey, wasn't it?

Re the editing - they often do this - save some bits not deemed worthy of being in the main highlights but used in the analysis to augment the point that they're making. Possibly also done to keep the average viewer interested who may not care for tactic-talk.

It's really poor form the way they hold back highlights to use for analysis, it's gives a completely false impression of the game. It feels like a coercion to get people to watch the after match chat, I know loads of people who skip it, like myself.

It's a shame 'cos MOTD has kept the simple format for so long and was perfect as it was.

Arse v wet spam
Ipswich v spuds
Everton v manure
Bournemouth v wolves
Us
Southampton v Brighton
Fulham v palace

Similar but would swap Wolves match for ours being as there was only 1 goal in it. We might even make 3rd

Second.

That's okay, quite happy to watch Arsenal lose first.
