Three points against Brighton and I think we'll be well set.  Not to be complacent, but there's clearly not much between any of the teams outside the top 2.  We've got  good defence that's only going to improve, and we're creating a fair few chances.  We really do have to cut out the silly mistakes at the back though, that's got to be our immediate priority.

my favourite goal on Saturday was Wesley's second

good move
great ball in from Hourahane, and i'm not his biggest fan on here but credit to him there he put it on a plate for Wesley

the reason i liked it best is because it was a pure strikers goal a poachers goal,
we were told Wesley wasn't that sort of player and maybe he isn't in general but it was nice to see a centre forward for Villa in the right place at the right time just doing the simple thing of getting on the end a decent move

No, apparently that was such an easy goal that Brice Jovial/ Englishskillzzz could have tucked it away.  Wesley deserves zero credit.

It was a nice goal.  I haven't seen Skillz post on it but if he was saying the defending was shocking and it was a pretty easy goal for Wesley then I'd agree with him.  Wes made a straight run from 30 yards out and the defence just ignored him and left him in acres of space.  It was a good finish, but he won't get many easier goals than that.

Next 5:

Brighton (H)
Man City (A)
Liverpool (H)
Wolves (A)
Newcastle (H)

We have to win the first and last and hope for the best in the middle, I would say.  Also a league cup game with Wolves in between the City/Liverpool games.

We definately need to win the two home games against Brighton and Newcastle. I don't tend to fancy Brighton when they are playing away from home and Newcastle's win against United was more down to how poor manure were as opposed to Newcastle suddenly becoming world beaters.

I can see 8 points from that lot, which would be decent.  Beat Brighton and Newcastle, draw at home to Liverpool and away to the Dingles, loss at City.

That would be an excellent return.  A bit optomistic I feel, but you never know.

more optimistic than me
I still think we have a great chance of staying up and believe we will

But after our games against Spurs and Arsenal where under pressure we turn into one of grandmas apple crumbles I’m not sure we will take any points off any of the top 6 sides
so I’m writing off 36 points right there, 6 already gone

so it makes the other games more important wins against Brighton and Newcastle are definitely doable
keeping the score respectable against 'The Mighty Reds YNWA' and Man City to keep our goal different ok is all I’m expecting from them to be honest

any points against the top 6 teams will be a massive bonus not because we arnt good enough but because we still don’t believe in ourselves enough

I’d ecstatic with that return, I’d also be surprised.
