Decent day for Worcestershire, not losing a wicket later in the day too.

At 160-2 and Hain & Latham going along nicely I feared the worst - very happy how the day ended….would be nice to see some batting points first innings…won’t hold breath tho

Surprised to see Woakes bat down at 9 and be first change bowler on that pitch

80-2, Woakes with both…the hapless middle order now in I’m going 145 all out, 7 for Woakes - as you can see I have real faith in the batting once Libby is out

Great morning for Bears so far after the now traditional horrific last session yesterday. Pears from 64 without loss to 88 for 5.

Being able to call on a genuine top international bowled makes such a big difference. OHD, Bamber and Booth have all done a good job but Woakes is a class above and Rushworth is a great option to take advantage of an opening with his experience.

That said, this pair have rallied really well get through to lunch on a very bowler friendly wicket. I think the only real option though is to be quite attacking because Latham is the only batsman who's been able to dig in to any real success.

Well, it probably isn't going to be a draw.

I reckon the bears already have enough on the board to beat Worcestershire, given how shite we have been with the batting line up.  A poor day for the Pears.

Rushworth was virtually unplayable in the morning session.

I agree, though we do bat better 2nd innings :-) we occasionally get to 200 all out :-)

Get yesterday, class bowlers in bowler friendly weather conditions and a pitch you are never really in on but this is more about the season….we are great at developing (& losing grr) and recruiting bowlers but our recruitment of batsmen is awful

I didn't agree with you this morning but target is now 270 and I think that's tough for anyone on this pitch. Weather could still play a part though.

We won’t get near 300 with the quality of the bowlers, a pitch that offers assistance and 3 or 4 batsmen who don’t know which end of the bat to hold this season so far ….Libby would need to get 200+ if it were to happen.  We’ll be 5/6 down before the close today if you have an hour or so bowling

Rain dance time for a draw :-)

Pears collapse in full swing as predicted….pretty much relegated before t20 kicks in & it’s totally on the batsmen…bowlers are Div 1 standard, most of the batsmen are Birmingham League at best
