With Rhodes going too, Bethell and possibly Mouseley being with England then we have a very thin squad which is light on runs. Add in that Robinson is still there then 2025 will be a long and miserable season.

Didn't realise Norwell had gone. His last match wasn't bad.

Fateh Singh signing for the Pears for three years to strengthen the spin department.  Hoping for a quality overseas all rounder and a middle order batsman too.

I’d like the overseas to be a middle order batsman…we are all searching for a Bedingham type of signing so hopefully find that.  Smith going to Surrey is a blow and we’ll see how Leach retiring affects it but Taylor / Waite / Allison / Dolly and Singh are handy batsmen

Do you think that Virdi will end up here as well Gareth?

I’d be surprised (pleasantly if happened) if we get two front line spinners in the squad with Himley and Dolly in there too…particularly as the weather conditions at NR probs stops us producing spin friendly Taunton style wickets :-)

Hope he gets a good county though as he is as good a bowler as any of those spinners used by England in last couple of years obviously won’t get a go because of perceived lack of batting ability though

Fantastic signing to replace Rhodes in the squad.

Fantastic signing to replace Rhodes in the squad.

Needs to improve his catching though ;)

The Bears sign Aussie Beau Webster for the season.

It’s only for 3 months of the season, from the start of May until the end of July.

I see the ECB are selling off parts of the game to the highest bidders.  The step towards a worldwide IPL franchise system gets nearer.

Robinson has left “by mutual consent” with Ian Westwood taking charge of first team affairs.
